Fablab.iMAL : yes we make! (3D & design)

Yves will talk about digital fabrication Fablabs he organizes at iMAL in Brussels. FabLab.iMAL is a digital manufacturing workplace where anyone (artist, designer, engineer, developer, tinkerer, student, citizen...), independantly of his/her education level, can come to experiment, learn and create all kinds of objects (artistic or design object, interactive object, technical object, prototype, etc.). Members of a FabLab form a community: they help each other, share their knowledge, build knowledge together in an open and collaborative process integrated to the FabLabs' global network.

This conference is organized in partnership with the BEP.

About Yves Bernard

Yves Bernard (BE) is a computer science engineer with a first education in architecture. After 10 years as a scientific researcher, he founded in 1994 one of the first new media studio in Europe, Magic Media, which produced many art & culture cd-roms for major French publishers. He is one of the founder of iMAL and he currently teaches at ERG (www.erg.be), Saint-Lucas art schools and University of Liège.
