Gglab - Guns and chocolates (3D & architecture)

Free information, open source, 3d printers, The economist call it the 3rd industrial revolution, till now open design movement was nice and clean, it bears the promise of a more sustainable and fair industrial production system.

Suddenly a pro-gun group is developing open source blueprints for weapons.

What are we going to do? More control? Is the end of open design as we understand it now? We will talk about how we are applying digital tools in our office, form food printing to urbanism.

This conference is organized in partnership with the BEP.

About José Ramon Tramoyeres

José Ramon has worked in Zaha Hadid Architects (London) and Santiago Calatrava (Valencia), where he gained extensive experience in the cultural, commercial and transport sectors. In 2009 he was selected as one of 100 young European talent by the Committee of the Regions in the European Union. Since 2008 he has been developing workshops and lectured on digital architecture in Spain, China and Russia. Jose Ramon is professor of architectural design strategies and Urban Development (4th year) in 2010 and after the year 2011 also co-lead in the research group CUAAD, Mexico.
